The challenge issued last Sunday, which will be kept before us this year, is to find opportunities to “speak Jesus” to people we meet from day to day. It is not a challenge to canvas door-to-door or to preach from the housetops. Instead, it is nothing more than reminding ourselves to speak of Him who should be on our hearts and minds anyway. Many of us have made a commitment before the Lord to do this very thing.
Perhaps it would help embolden us to remember that we are offering men and women what they need most in the world. We’re not selling vitamins or household cleaners; we are offering LIFE in Jesus Christ—the only alternative to eternal death and destruction. And while that might sound rather melodramatic to modern ears, it is the truth.
